A. Information from Steam Authentication

When you sign in via Steam, we receive and store the following public profile information from Valve's Steam API:

• Steam ID — Your unique Steam identifier
• Display Name — Your current Steam profile name
• Avatar — Your Steam profile picture URL

We do not receive or store your Steam password, email address, or any other private Steam account details. Authentication is handled entirely by Valve's Steam OpenID servers.

B. Information You Provide

You may optionally provide the following in your profile settings:

• Steam Trade URL — Used to send in-game item prizes from giveaways
• Discord Username — Used to verify Discord-based community participation

This information is entirely optional. However, certain giveaways may require specific fields to be completed before you can participate.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Identify and authenticate your account on SlothiW
• Display your profile name and avatar within the platform
• Allow you to participate in giveaways
• Deliver in-game item prizes via Steam trade offers
• Verify giveaway entry requirements
• Manage user roles and platform administration

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secure MongoDB database. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Giveaway Participation Data

When you join a giveaway, your Steam ID is added to that giveaway's participant list. If a giveaway includes bonus entry quests, we track which quests you have completed. This data is used solely to determine giveaway eligibility and select winners.

Giveaway participation data is visible to platform administrators for the purposes of managing giveaways, selecting winners, and delivering prizes.

6. Cookies & Sessions

SlothiW uses session cookies to keep you signed in after Steam authentication. These cookies are essential for the platform to function and are not used for advertising or tracking purposes. We do not use any third-party advertising cookies or analytics trackers.

7. Third-Party Services

SlothiW interacts with the following third-party services:

• Steam (Valve Corporation) — For user authentication and profile data
• Sanity CMS — For blog content management (no user data is shared)
• Discord, YouTube — Referenced in giveaway quests (links open in your browser; we do not share your data with these services)

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external services.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may only be disclosed if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SlothiW or its users.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• View your stored profile information on your profile page
• Update your profile information (subject to the 7-day cooldown period)
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us through Discord

If you wish to have your data removed, please reach out via our Discord community and we will process your request.

10. Children's Privacy

SlothiW is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that a user under 18 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete that data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of SlothiW after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
